With the IBEX, the German brand now showcases a concept car that is designed for special places, special challenges, and special experiences – from dust to dunes, from slick to snow.
“We actually handcrafted our IBEX Concept Car in the garage,” explains Product Manager Sabrina Steinbrink. “From the self-designed roof to the lift kit, we’ve tuned it for off-road capability. The IBEX is a distinctive, powerful vehicle with an enormous urge to explore.”
Strong Character, Strong Appearance
The GRP roof construction is made of super-robust, glass-fiber reinforced plastic and thus resists even hail or stone fall – and it comes with an integrated light bar. Plus: it also allows for a standing height of 198 cm on the VW chassis. The IBEX itself is also raised, featuring all the off-road elements one could wish for: from massive off-road tires to bull bars, rear carrier with ladder and spare wheel, snorkel, and much more.
The appearance reflects the strong character of the IBEX: The topographic elements on natural base tones are an homage to the great explorers and pioneers who literally put undiscovered places on the map.
